Terms of Service
Last updated: July 28, 2026
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the HabitFlow mobile application, operated by Jasper Arentsen. By creating an account or using HabitFlow, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the HabitFlow mobile application (“HabitFlow”, “the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), operated by Jasper Arentsen.
By downloading, accessing, creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using HabitFlow, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use HabitFlow.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use HabitFlow.
If the laws of your country require a higher minimum age, or require consent from a parent or legal guardian, you may use HabitFlow only if those requirements have been satisfied.
By using HabitFlow, you represent that you are legally permitted to enter into these Terms.
3. User Accounts
Certain features require you to create an account. Depending on the available options, you may sign in using:
- Email and password;
- Google Sign-In;
- Sign in with Apple.
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate account information;
- Keeping your login credentials confidential;
- Maintaining the security of your account;
- All activity that occurs through your account;
- Promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.
You may not impersonate another person, create an account using false information, or allow another person to misuse your account.
4. Using HabitFlow
HabitFlow is designed to help users create habits, set goals, schedule reminders, track progress, and review personal statistics.
Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use HabitFlow for lawful personal purposes.
You agree not to:
- Use HabitFlow for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems;
- Interfere with the security or operation of the App;
- Introduce malware, viruses, or harmful code;
- Automate access in a manner that overloads or harms the service;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except where permitted by law;
- Copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App without permission;
- Use the App in a way that infringes the rights of others;
- Attempt to bypass Premium restrictions or subscription verification.
5. User Content and Habit Data
You retain ownership of the information you create within HabitFlow, including habit names, descriptions, goals, reminders, progress records, and preferences.
By using HabitFlow, you grant us a limited right to host, store, process, synchronize, and display your information only as reasonably necessary to operate and provide the App.
You are responsible for the information you enter into HabitFlow. You should not enter unlawful content or information that infringes the rights of another person.
Because habits may reflect personal routines or lifestyle information, you should avoid entering highly sensitive information that is not necessary to use the App.
7. Payments and Billing
Purchases and subscriptions are processed through:
- The Apple App Store; or
- Google Play.
HabitFlow does not directly receive or store your complete payment-card or bank-account details.
Prices are displayed by the relevant app store before purchase. The final price may vary depending on your country, currency, taxes, and the pricing rules of Apple or Google.
Subscription status may be verified and managed through RevenueCat in order to determine whether Premium features should be available to your account.
8. Automatic Renewal
Unless cancelled, subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period in accordance with the rules of the Apple App Store or Google Play.
The relevant store may charge your selected payment method within the period stated in its subscription terms.
You are responsible for cancelling your subscription before renewal if you do not want it to continue.
9. Cancelling a Subscription
You may cancel a HabitFlow Premium subscription through the subscription settings of the store through which the purchase was made.
Apple App Store
Manage or cancel the subscription through your Apple ID subscription settings.
Google Play
Manage or cancel the subscription through your Google Play subscription settings.
Cancellation normally prevents future renewal. Unless required by law or determined otherwise by the relevant store, you may continue using Premium until the end of the paid subscription period.
Deleting the App or deleting your HabitFlow account does not automatically cancel an active subscription.
10. Refunds and Withdrawal Rights
Refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are handled by the relevant platform under its own refund rules and applicable consumer law.
HabitFlow generally cannot directly approve, issue, or reverse payments processed by Apple or Google.
To request a refund, you should contact the platform through which you made the purchase.
Consumer withdrawal rights
Depending on your country, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from certain digital purchases within a specific period.
For digital content or services that begin immediately, applicable law may allow the withdrawal right to end once performance begins, provided you have expressly agreed to immediate performance and acknowledged the possible loss of that right.
Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected. Apple or Google may provide additional information about withdrawal rights during the purchase process.
11. Service Availability
We aim to keep HabitFlow reliable and available, but we do not guarantee that the App will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device.
HabitFlow may be temporarily unavailable because of:
- Maintenance or updates;
- Technical faults;
- Internet or hosting outages;
- Problems affecting third-party services;
- Security incidents;
- Events outside our reasonable control.
We may take the App or specific features offline when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, compliance, or technical reasons.
12. Changes to the App and Premium Features
HabitFlow may be updated, expanded, modified, or redesigned over time.
We may:
- Add new features;
- Change existing features;
- Remove outdated or unsupported features;
- Change technical requirements;
- Change the distinction between free and Premium functionality.
Where reasonably possible, we will avoid materially reducing the core value of an active paid subscription without a valid technical, security, legal, or business reason.
13. Intellectual Property
HabitFlow and its software, design, branding, layout, graphics, interfaces, text, logos, and other original content are protected by intellectual-property laws.
Except for the limited right to use the App under these Terms, no ownership rights are transferred to you.
Without prior written permission, you may not:
- Copy or reproduce substantial parts of HabitFlow;
- Modify or create derivative works from the App;
- Distribute, resell, or sublicense the App;
- Use HabitFlow branding in a misleading manner;
- Remove copyright, trademark, or ownership notices.
14. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to HabitFlow where reasonably necessary, including when:
- You materially violate these Terms;
- Your account is used fraudulently or unlawfully;
- You attempt unauthorized access or interfere with security;
- Your activity poses a risk to HabitFlow or other users;
- Suspension is required by law or by a competent authority;
- The service is discontinued.
Where appropriate and reasonably possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue before permanent termination.
You may stop using HabitFlow at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting: jasperarentsen@gmail.com .
Account deletion does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through Apple or Google.
15. Health and Professional Disclaimer
HabitFlow is a general productivity and habit-tracking tool. It is not a medical, psychological, psychiatric, nutritional, legal, financial, or other professional service.
HabitFlow does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or mental-health condition.
Information, statistics, reminders, streaks, and progress indicators shown in the App are intended only to support personal organization. They should not replace advice from a qualified professional.
You remain responsible for your habits, goals, decisions, and actions. In an emergency or health-related concern, contact an appropriate qualified professional or emergency service.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HabitFlow and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from or related to your use of the App.
This may include loss of data, loss of opportunity, loss of profits, interruption of service, or reliance on habit statistics or reminders.
HabitFlow is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that reminders will always be delivered or that all progress data will always be error-free.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights or liability resulting from intent, fraud, or other liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
17. Privacy
The processing of personal information through HabitFlow is described in our Privacy Policy.
By using HabitFlow, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to review the Privacy Policy.
18. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
If you are a consumer living in another country, any mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rights available under the laws of your country remain unaffected.
Before starting formal legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us so that we can try to resolve the matter informally.
If a provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
